Texas A&M Vs Miami
Game Recap:
No. 10 Miami edged No. 7 Texas A&M 10-3 in a defensive battle in the first round of the College Football Playoff, breaking a 3-3 tie late in the fourth quarter.
Mark Fletcher Jr. powered the Hurricanes’ final drive, finishing with a career-high 172 rushing yards and a 56-yard run that set up the game’s only touchdown.
On third down with 1:44 remaining in the game, freshman Malachi Toney scored on an 11-yard pop pass to give Miami the lead.
Bryce Fitzgerald then sealed the win with his second interception of the night, picking off Marcel Reed in the end zone as the Aggies collapse in the final seconds. Reed finished with three turnovers in the loss.
The game featured major kicking struggles and marked the first scoreless first half in CFP history, with the 13 combined points setting a record for the lowest-scoring playoff game.
Miami advances to the Cotton Bowl to face No. 2 Ohio State on Dec. 31.
